Organisation profile

Profile Information

Modern technology is increasingly leading to complex artifacts with high demands on performance and availability. Examples are, for instance, modern production plants, automotive systems and autonomous mobile robots. These systems are typically composed of many individual components and achieve the desired operation in terms of a complex, system-wide interaction among the system’s components. As a consequence, advanced automation and control methods play an important role in achieving this requirement. To approach these control challenges, research at the Institute of Automation and Control pursues synergetic research themes in basic and applied research.
