Profile Information

Within the general theme Precision Engineering, a variety of research topics are treated, where the geometrical accuracy is in the center of interest. The investigation of static and dynamic parameters and the thermal influence on structures and measuring system of CNC-machines is a major area of research. As far as CNC non circular grinding is concerned, the institute can claim a pioneer feat. The grinding of camshafts for experimental engines and custom application is offered as a special service, where the polygone profile for shaft hub connections is a special subject in this context. In the area of robotics research activities are concentrated on geometrical accuracy and robot aided measurement. Teaching covers the whole range of machining, production automation, measuring engineering and robotics.

Fingerprint The fingerprint is based on mining the text of the scientific documents related to the associated persons. Based on that an index of weighted terms is created, which defines the key subjects of research unit
