Description

Numerical analyzes, such as the finite element method approach, can be used for future development of innovative products as well as for the optimization of existing systems. Those models shall reflect reality in a sufficiently precise manner. This requires suitable materials, exact input parameters and analysis methods. The aim of the investigations is to compare and evaluate several materials with analytical methods. With it shall be determined the best configuration of a FEM calculation ambiance, which fits best reality. For this purpose are analyzed several plastic plates by means of structure borne and airborne sound measurements in the laboratory. Operative works are inter alia experimental modal analysis, sound intensity measurements and airborne sound reduction measurements to evaluate the transmission loss. This enables to determine the vibration behavior and sound radiation of the test bodies.
