Description

The aim of this research project is the identification of aroma- and taste active compounds in paper packaging material. For the identification of the aroma active substances different sample preparation techniques and gas chromatographic detection is used. In addition the human nose is used as a very sensitive detector for aroma active compounds (Gas Chromatography -Olfactometry).
For the identification of the taste active compounds the samples are separated according to the molecular weight. The different fractions are judged by a sensoric panel according to the taste activity followed by an identification with HPLC-MS and NMR
