Agile Smart Service Development

From an engineering point of view Service Engineering plays a role in the development of ICT-based services. In the context of ICT-based services a branch called Smart Services evolved, which enables its users to proactively provide services. To do so, service providers can utilize preventive or preemptive services. Besides Service Engineering the branch of Service Design has also gained significance, especially in the Anglo-American area. This method for service development is utilized inter alia for developing and improving social services and their business models. This project focuses on several key aspects. Firstly, it looks at how the development of ICTbased services can be organized in a more agile manner. Secondly, it investigates how the process of developing Smart Services as a part of ICT-based service development should be conducted. Thirdly, it analyzes the positive effects of Smart Services on business models as well as on the agile development process of ICT-based services. In addition, process models, methods and tools of Service Design are analyzed with regard to their contribution to the agile development of ICT-based services.
