Profile Information

The Institute of Fundamentals and Theory in Electrical Engineering (IGTE) is part of the Faculty of Electrical and Information Engineering at Graz University of Technology (TU Graz). Both, in teaching and research we focus on the fundamental phenomena in electrical engineering starting from field theory over networks to numerical simulations and its practical application to complex technical and medical systems. The fundamental and applied research at IGTE addresses four research areas: • Electromagnetic fields • Multiphysical modelling and simulation • Optimization and inverse problems • Aeroacoustics and Vibroacoustics Group • Acoustics and Environmental Noise Studying Electrical Engineering at TU Graz is a great choice, since Electrical Engineering is the basic technology for everything that makes the modern world work. We are strongly involved in teaching both at Bachelor and Master level, and beside classical teaching techniques we also provide multi-media courses.
