Institute of Architecture and Landscape (1530)

The activities of the institute for architecture and landscape in teaching and research cover the mediation of contents and investigation of the interaction between architecture and landscape. The topic wins actuality in a time of the constantly growing pressure on the landscape by an increasing number of buildings. Agricultural shaped landscape is changed, overlaid and displaced, by „living in the country“, buildings for tourism, infrastructure and production. Buildings of these categories develop, like traditional agricultural buildings, their own categories and various relations to the landsape or to landscape features. The treatment of the topics takes place in close linkage of teachings and research on the basis of concrete questions and design projects.
