Project Details
Description
The aim of the project is the production od magnet wires using UV-curable
coatings. Compared to conventional production techniques, UV curing
helps to reduce the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC). Although
numerous UV-curable formulations are known, only a few meet the specific
requirements for the use as insulating coatings. Test specimens are produced
with an appropriate UV-curing equipment. The coated wires are investigated by
means of DSC, infrared spectroscopy and electrotechnical test procedures.
