Description

Due to the new regulations in the liberalized market the optimisation of electrical distribution grids must be re-considered. In order to optimize the total expenditures of the electricity industry and the costs induced by good or bad power quality it is necessary to consider the technical solutions under new aspects, especially the consumer outage or disturbance costs. The inputs of the optimisation are the electricity supply structures, the operation and maintenance costs and the cost of the components involved. Welfare economical aspects take into account the research activities of the department for electricity economy and energy innovation. Investigations are carried out for example grids and general rules are worked out in order to establish good technical and social-economical asset-management.
