Quantitative and qualitative objectives of water supply and effective sewage disposal are nowadays extended to questions of sustainability and future demographic developments. Hence Planning, Maintenance and Rehabilitation of physical assets is of central importantce. In this research field scientific methods and strategies are developed to optimise water and waste water infrastructure to these targets. Therefore research activities are carried out for operativeness and rehabilitation of water and sewage systems, benchmarking and quality and risk management of water supply utilities and sustainability studies for resources management.
