Description

The horizon is the focus particularly of sacral buildings. The female myth of the primeval hill. Building on alluvial land. Weirs on the North Sea coast, Neolithic thinking, its materialism, magic, Lucretius, decentralism, ecology. State formation, Egypt, creates a patriarchal need for immortalization, in stone buildings, stereometry of the pyramids. The tomb of Unas: The Rising up of buildings is shown for example by mean of rustication, Palazzo Vecchio, Florence; steps; terraces, plinths; Greek temple; Real Alto, Peru; Pueblo Bonito, New Mexico; Pit Circles, Zimbabwe; buildings by K. F. Schinkel, Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier, F.L. Wright, E. Mendelsohn. Spaces between sky and earth, function in the mystery cults. Trophonios ,architect, also patron of such a psychotherapeutic place of worship. Close link between both functions so as to strengthen the chthonic originative competence of architecture against the temple buildings and their Olympian deities with an overworld fixation. G. Piranesis' "Carceri" bring forward a similar criticism of Winckelmann's classicism. Today it is directed at postmodernism, neorationalism and investor architecture. Even in Piranesis' "incubation rooms", abstraction is the preliminary stage of creativity, but is not actually successful until Cozen's blot technique, cubism and modern art. Above all in the abstraction of the free sketch, which is the first step in all designing.
