Project Details
Description
Several properties (especially the resistance to elevated temperatures) of conventional Ni base superalloys can be improved significantly by adding different elements. Using analytical transmission electron microscopy the influence of Cr doping on the microstructure and the chemical composition of Ni base superalloys will be investigated. The results will be correlated with physical and mechanical properties.
The detection and identification of secondary phases will be of special interest.
