A3203 Transportkälteanlage - Comprehensive Energy Management - Simulationsmethodik zur onboard Energieeffizienz- und Akustikoptimierung einer Transportkälteanlage

Project: Research project

Project Details

Within the framework of the project, work is being carried out on the simulation-supported design of operating strategies with the integration of a virtual sensor for refrigeration systems onboard in the control system. The refrigeration system network is characterised by the fact that one or more refrigeration systems and the necessary supply unit (driven by an internal combustion engine, VKM for short) are installed in a very small space. The operating parameters to be ensured are a fail-safe power supply and stable temperature control on the one hand, and the lowest possible fuel consumption with the lowest possible CO2 and noise emissions on the other.
The challenges for the operation of the refrigeration system network consisting of three redundant refrigeration circuits with corresponding degrees of freedom such as fan speeds, EXV settings and operation from one to all refrigeration system modules simultaneously, taking into account energy generation via a VKM and generator power unit, are also due to the fact that the energy efficiency considerations in the area of tension between acoustic comfort and NVH requirements must also be considered holistically in the direction of night peak specifications with certain limit values for sound radiation. For the necessary simulation models, work is being carried out on the simulation methodology for the onboard virtual sensor and the methodology for predicting the total sound emission of the refrigeration system network under different operating and boundary conditions for simulation-supported acoustic optimisation.
