Direct injection of the gas into the main combustion chamber at the end of the compression stroke using high pressure (HPDI) can reduce the risk of knocking combustion and thereby increase the stable operating window size. The goal of this project is to find a suitable combination of injection timing, injection pressure and injector alignment in combination with the pre-chamber combustion.
