Abstract

We report the rotationally-resolved excitation spectrum of the LiHg X 2Σ + → 22II3/2 transition, the first case among Ia(Li, Na, K, Cs)-IIb(Zn, Cd, Hg) intermetallic molecules. Different vibronic transitions are assigned. A rotational analysis is made for the v″ = 0 → v′ = 1 band, and rotational constants have been obtained.
