Abstract
Sprayed concrete can be applied in two ways. A steady transportation over the required processing time is essential for a fast construction progress and good final quality. Durability, low sintering potential and sustainability optimized blends must also meet these requirements for processability. In addition, there must be no restrictions on the early strength developement in tunnel construction. For this purpose, systematic investigations in the research program ASSpC on the rheology of pumped concrete, on the effect on the sintering potential and on the applied methods for assessing the durability are presented in this article. Initial results of blends with new additive combinations and dense packing show promising results.
