Abstract
We consider the coupled system of time–dependent nonlinear partial differential equations modeling the electromechanical response of human heart tissue. Instead of time–stepping schemes we use a discontinuous Galerkin finite element method in the space–time domain to be able to resolve the solution in space and time simultaneously.
