Abstract

This thesis presents the implementation of software for the simulation of in vivo MR spectra, which can be calculated using different assumptions for single molecules or tissue-specific metabolite distributions. Furthermore, it is possible to model and simulate possible errors that may occur during the acquisition of the spectrum. The B0 inhomogeneity, Ghostings, eddy current effects, transient errors due to switching processes during data acquisition, phase errors and noise are included in this simulation. The modelling and simulation of possible errors that may arise during the acquisition of the spectrum is also possible. These effects will be presented with this software using examples of pathologies from neuroradiology. It is also possible with this software to read in, display and analyse spectra, which were stored in the RDA-format.
