Abstract

To influence the combustion process of modernbiomass furnaces specifically the combustion-controllerdetermines the necessary mass flows. The gaseous massflows can be adjusted by fans and flaps. To ensure the de-sired overall performance of the furnace the mass flowsneed to be set by inner control loops respectively. Withinthe work described in this paper a model based approachfor the control design of the inner control loop is pre-sented exemplarily for the secondary air supply. Therebya flatness-based feedforward control will be designed bymeans of an appropriate model
