Abstract

In this paper a new FDM manufacturing process ispresented, mixing different commercially available filaments tonew composites. Polylactide (PLA) provides the basis as a carriermedium, which has been modified dust by copper, graphite, tita-nium oxide or iron. Thanks to a special manufacturing principle, these materials can be mixed together in any ratio to form anew type of composite. This makes it possible to create novelRF components. This paper discusses the principle of the man-ufacturing process, produces different composites with differentmixing ratios, further processes these composites and determinesthe high-frequency properties in the Ku-band. An evaluation ofthe measurement results was carried out and the applicabilityof this method was checked. The evaluation showed a very goodcorrespondence of this procedure and its applicability.
