Abstract

The invention relates to a method for diffuse luminescence probing in strongly scattering objects (1), comprising the following steps: a) Bringing a luminophore substance into the object (1), the luminophore substance emitting light that is detectable by photodetectors (8) when irradiated with ionizing radiation (4); b) Irradiating the object (1) with ionizing radiation (4); c) Detecting the resulting luminescence light with at least one photodetector (8); d) Analyzing the detected information. The invention further pertains to an apparatus for performing said method.
