Abstract

Two applications were created to measure the impedance spectrum of a sensor which is connected to a sensor interface. The applications differ in the kind of communication to the host. There exist a wired and a wireless usecase. The wireless system communicates via NFC to an android device and the wired system via a serial connection to a PC. The impedance sensor is excited with a sinusoidal current with ascending frequency and the resulting amplitude and phaseshift of the voltage is measured to get the impedance. For data processing, various algorithms were implemented. There are different possibilities to draw the results as the Bode diagram or the Nyquist plot.
