Abstract
The reversion of deformation-induced martensite (DIM) was studied by investigating the microstructure evolution of the rolled austenitic stainless steel S304 during the heat treatment. The conventional light optical microscopy (LOM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X ray diffraction (XRD), and magnetometry using ferritoscope have been used to characterize the microstructure and to estimate the phase fraction of microstructure constituents.
