Abstract

Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) has a high potential for the repair and retrofitting of existing bridges. Due to its excellent durability properties a longer service life of bridge decks made of UHPC can be expected. Therefore, the life-cycle costs decrease. Because of the high strength of UHPC furthermore the bearing capacity of the structure will be enhanced.
