title = "Innovation Agents – Moving from Process Driven to Human Centred Intelligence Driven Approaches",
abstract = "DRIVES (2018–2021) as an EU BLUEPRINT for Automotive project integrates different Automotive associations and working parties. The project has analysed the future skills needed in Automotive, and developed a pool of job roles with skills required for the design, production and maintenance of cars in the future. This paper discusses the results from studies performed in DRIVES outlining the need for innovation agents. Based on the study results, topics to be covered by an innovation agent job role are discussed. The topics presented are the results from a series on DRIVES innovation agent workshops to which universities and leading automotive industry participated. The DRIVES studies are based on statistics collected in the project and the topics presented stem from the presentations and key notes of the DRIVES innovation agent series in 2020/2021. The paper will form the basis for a new and updated definition of innovation agent skills and requirements in the future for the automotive industry. Each key message (outcome from DRIVES innovation agent series of workshops) in the paper will become a competence area for future innovation agents.",
