Abstract

Currently,in today’s market, there is a wide spectrum ofCAD/CAMsoftware systems. Choosing the right software systemout of that huge variety could be a challenging task to perform. The ideal decision-making procedure should not only take intointern functionality aspectsinto consideration, but also the potential of the chosen software systemin activities related to digitalization like Digital Twins or Tool Management Libraries. In this paper adecision-making procedure is proposed and applied in a forging company for choosing a CAD/CAM software systemthat could enhancethe process chain in the era of digitalization
