Abstract

Guaranteed”Safety-Reaction-Times” (SRT) according to mandatory safety standards is a highly decisive issue before realising the commissioning of industrial robot working systems. The SRT as part of technical standard procedures still remains to be highly sensitive to errors and it is effort taking because of utilizing vast numbers of values from many different tabular sources. The current paper presents the design of an SRT calculation process with goal to perform it more time-saving, reliable and user-friendly. As a proof of concept a hardware-in-the-loop demonstrator will be used, in order to accomplish a maximum of certainty before starting the certification process.
