Abstract

FDTD (Finite Difference Time Domain) method is a well-known method for numerical solution of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) problems. In this paper this method is used to calculate the shielding efficiency (SE) of enclosure with aperture. Transient fields related to indirect Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) are used as incident fields to investigate EMC problem of aperture penetration into cavities.
