Dust loads in railway tunnels –results from in-situ measurements and consequences for tunnel facilities and railway operation

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperpeer-review

Abstract

Extended measurements were carried out by IVT during an ÖBB pilot project. These measurements include the observation of dust loads within a railway tunnel over a period of about two years. The analysation finally led to PM emission factors for various train types under consideration of certain parameters such as the train speed, train specific parameters, precipitation, etc.
