Abstract
Calculation of summerly overheating. Contemporary architecture, which increasingly provides transparent facades, often leads to undesirable effects on the comfortable room temperature in summer. As a consequence, the protection of the building from overheating gets more important. The effect of different climates on the calculation of summer overheating is investigated. It simulates office and residential use with component structures made of concrete, bricks, solid wood construction and timber frame construction. The results of the building simulation are compared with the calculation results according to the currently valid simplified verification procedures according to öNORM B 8110-3. A proposal for the revision of the standard is presented.
