Abstract

After assembly, a new developed biopotential amplifier has to be subjected to a functional test, before it can be delivered to customers all over the world. Because of the high number of analog input channels (256) the inspection effort for manual testing is not justified any more.

The object of the present master thesis was the developement of a testing environment, which automatically evaluates the functions and features of the amplifier.

For this purpose a PC controlled test adapter was developed for generating the analog and digital signals needed for the test. Furthermore a Matlab program (MathWorks, Natick, USA) was designed, that reconfigures the amplifier for the tests and analyses the recorded data. The result of the accomplished tests is a printable report, which can be archived for quality control documentation.
