Abstract
Serious games are recognised as one of the most promising innovative learning technologies in the short-medium term. Even if the empowerment of learning they provide is widely recognised, there are few means to trace and measure learners' performance during game sessions. This paper describes a Competence Performance Analyser (CPA) tool that keeps trace of the players' activity in the shape of events in the game and, based on these activities, assesses related performance with respect to a predefined set of competences.
