Abstract

As part of the bachelor thesis “Analysis and Evaluation of Test Areas for Automated Driving Functions” different private and public test areas were reviewed worldwide. The aim of this thesis is to provide an overview of worldwide test areas for automated driving functions and their facilities. In cooperation with the respective operators a comprehensive catalogue of criteria was developed and the equipment of private and public test areas was captured. Based on this information a single document with all test tracks, an Excel spreadsheet and an online map were created. The peculiarities of the different private and public test areas were identified, examples of which are presented in this thesis. After an introduction into the methods and the topic of the thesis, the different general test area criteria are explained, with a distinction between private and public test areas. Finally, some selected information about the test areas is presented.
