Abstract

An upper DC/DC converter (9) is connected between positive terminal of bridge circuit (1) and positive terminal (17) of AC/DC converter. A lower DC/DC converter (13) is connected between negative terminal of bridge circuit and negative terminal (18) of AC/DC converter. A lower connection point (11) of upper DC/DC converter and an upper connection point (15) of lower DC/DC converter are connected with each other to form DC voltage side center. Three phase connection points (3-5) of bridge circuit are connected to DC voltage side center through four-quadrant switches (6-8) respectively. An independent claim is included for method for controlling AC/DC converter.
