Abstract

The goal was to implement an arbitrary waveform
generator (AWG) with the Red Pitaya. The main
specification was to support a much higher memory
depth than the specified 16kS (kilo-samples) supported
by the original implementation. This allows to employ the
Red Pitaya system for complex gate profiling signals as
used in leading edge switched mode power converters.
Furthermore, the new implementation has to be as
compatible as possible with respect to the software
delivered by the developers of the Red Pitaya
ecosystem.
