Project Details
Description
The direct (scattering off objects) and inverse (object
reconstruction) wave propagation problem is investigated
for an ocean-bottom-system. Here the bottom is modelled as
an elastic or poro-elastic three-dimensional medium or as
a two-dimensional plate.
Mathematical techniques used are normal mode expansions,
transmutation theory and finite elements.
