Description

The research area Vehicle Dynamics deals with (1) Automated Driving and (2) Vehicle dynamics and Tyres. Research in Automated Driving focusses on: - Test and Validation and Full Vehicle Integration with simulation, test benches and on-road testing of SAE Level 0 through 5 Systems - Perception of the environment, in particualr senor modelling for virtual development - Human-Machine-Interaction, in particular driver acceptance of automated drioving functions Research in Vehicle dynamics and Tyres focusses on: - Online estimation of tire/road conditions - Parameter identification (tire, vehicle) - Tire modelling - Vehicle dynamics controls - E-corner module, steer-by-wire - Design of suspension and steering systems
