Studies on direct current fed drives

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

A direct current regulator, also known as chopper, built with fast switching IGBT-semiconductor switches was investigated in regard to its effects on windings and motor bearings. The high voltage increasing velocity (du/dt) of these regulators leads to a very high voltage stress over the first turns of a winding and to a heightened motor bearing stress. To reduce the stresses which claim the motor, the installation of a filter combined with an inductor is explored. not assigned KP: Partner aus der Industrie
