Structure, Kinematics and Timing of Faults in the Eastern Alps

Project: Research area

Project Details

Description

This study focusses on the latest structural evolution of the eastern Alps, in particular on the evolution of fault zones and the relationships to sedimentary basins and the geomorphological evolution. The microstructural analysis of fault rocks, and the timing of activity by thermochronological methods, and the importance for the development of mass movements are taken into consideration.
