Project Details
Description
Research on novel, distributed fiber optic sensing systems sensors for permanent monitoring and detection of conditions that are relevant for service and maintenance, and of changes of railway infrastructure and railroad bed, unusual events, natural hazards as well as improper use or use against orders. In contrast to existing sensor systems, automatic signal processing allows not only local but linear surveillance of tracks.
