Project Details

Description

In the production of shelf-stable powder products by spray drying, the spraying technology plays a key role. In the project, a novel spraying technology for milk and coffee powders is to be developed. This technology will influence complex interactions of process parameters as well as fluid- and thermodynamics with the thermal and physico-chemical properties of the food matter. In this research project, an existing spraying technology is to be automated. The results of the work will support current and future spray drying tasks. The new spraying technology will provide a fundament for future design, modification, and scale-up of spray drying processes.
