Spatial Information Systems

Project: Research area

Project Details

Description

In computer-assisted management of spatial information there is a large complexity of relationships and dependencies. This calls for a logical overall concept which covers a broad range of applications in geo-sciences. Special importance is given to modelling accuracy and interchangeability of data, to consistency and to usability. Modelling aspects cover a bandwidth from simple terrain models to sophisticated modelling of traffic/transport telematics with optimum path, site planning and vehicle dispatching applications.
