Description

Research work is being done for developing measuring devices and carrying out laboratory and in situ experiments to achieve a high quality in the construction of roads, railways and pipelines. Also investigations and qualification tests for employed mineral materials and aggregates, especially regarding thermal conditions, are of great importance. It will be paid great attention to enviremen-tal impacts and ground improvement to stabilize bad subsoil. Projects to supervise the construction of embankments and slopes, for special in situ test series and calcu-lations for long term stability and serviceability are also part of this research area.
