Project Details

Description

The project's main target is the development of a new generation of heterophasic PP-copolymers with a good balance of stiffness and impact strength, which have additional advantages over presently available materials regarding thermal expansion, stress whitening and surface properties. For this, detailed investigations of the influence of the molecular structure, especially the molar mass ratio between matrix- and elastomer-phase on the phase morphology of the system and finally the failure behavior are necessary. The investigations also include the interaction between polymer and fillers in case of compounds for technical applications.
