Project Details
Description
Focus of this project is to increase the efficiency of a developed isolated DC / DC boost converter in order to meet the given requirements regarding the maximum power dissipation. Essential component in such converters are magnetic components (coils, transformer). These devices are optimized using FEM simulations. Based on the simulation results prototypes are realized and integrated into the converter in order to validate the efficiency. A second research aspect of the project is to guarantee a well defined dynamic behavior of the converter. Different control strategies are implemented and verified by test cases.
