Project Details

Description

Both components, the implementation of the building instruction accompanies an effective reduction of energy consumption and measures for high-buildings of the future 2020, as well as, the challenges arising from the projected climate change particularly for the summer heat protection, require foresighted development of measures to keep timber building attractive and competitive for the future, to enable taking advantage of the future market potential and to give right incentives for the forestry and wood industries. The project “risk-optimized structure processing in timber building based on climate change” aims to develop processes and measures that allow participants to bring these future challenges via specifications for timber buildings in appropriate structures and systems on the market. Thus, the optimization of wood-based constructions, which stand in connection with building technology under consideration of the expected climate change scenarios, stand in the main focus of this research work.
