REsys - Hybrid Engery

Project: Research project

Project Details

Hybrid energy systems are modelled by the combination of both thermal and electrical
simulations. On the one hand measured data is used to validate the simulation models, on
the other hand interdependencies and interactions between system components are
analysed by the use of ICT-methods and experts knowledge. On this basis smart control
strategies are developed, which in a first step are integrated into the simulation models and
in a second step are tested on a real hybrid energy system. The control strategies improve
the overall energy efficiency, enable a more effective design of future systems and help to
decrease system and operating costs of such systems.
