Recording of Building Facades using Linear CCD Sensors

Photo realistic textured 3D city models offer new and exciting possibilities for city planing, tourist advertising, simulation, training and other interactive visualizations of the data set. Input data for city models may consist of 2D data from GIS, digital terrain models, aerial photographs and images from facades. The main objective of this reserach project was the recording of building facades using an electronic camera, based on a linear CCD sensor. The design of the sensor platform, the recognition of motion disturbance and the elemination of its effect are milestone of the project.
