ReCon - Development of a resilient hook-and-loop fastening system for adaptable assembly of building components in building construction

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The overall objective of the project is to establish the hook-and-loop connection system as a resilient and intelligent connection system in the construction industry, between primary structure and secondary structure and, subsequently, tertiary structure. The object of investigation in this respect is formed by hook-and-loop structural elements (concrete and wood) and the counterpart in the form of a hook-and-loop-assembly-means. The applicability of the hook-and-loop connection system between primary, secondary and tertiary structure in dependence of the application case as well as the used components, in new and further developed hook-and-loop components, for the application in the building industry is to be verified, knowledge for the further ecologization of the connection system is to be gained. To this end, concepts are being developed, tested and verified in the laboratory at the constructional, electro-technical, digital and paper technology levels.
