R-Ni2Steel - Development of experimental procedures and mathematical models as the basis of a controlled and environmentally friendly reprocessing process for NiMH batteries

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The recycling of nickel-metal hydride batteries is a major challenge in practice due to process-related difficulties with regard to safety and environmental friendliness. One of the main problems is the heating of the materials during and after the recycling process due to chemical reactions. In the "Ni2Steel" project, the fundamentals for the experimental and mathematical description of particle and heat transport are developed.
